Scope of Work

I take on projects of all shapes, sizes, and specifications, and aim to make the process flexible for my clients. View my design process below.

Initial consultation

I will visit your garden for a preliminary inspection and discuss your design requirements. Together, we’ll discuss your most important considerations: what you would like to achieve, how the garden will fit into your lifestyle, and what your style preferences are.

Design brief

You’ll receive a written design brief that outlines your garden requirements, preferences and the scope of the work as discussed in the meeting. The document will also include a design proposal for your approval.

Site survey

Once the project has been confirmed, I’ll begin by measuring the proportions of the garden, establishing the site orientation, taking pictures, and analysing the surrounding area for neighbouring or mountain views.

Concept drawing

I’ll create a scale outline drawing that includes dimensions and showcases main features, and hard and soft landscaping materials. It will be presented with relevant supporting imagery or mood boards and material samples.

Cost detailing

I have established a small network of trusted installation contractors who provide exceptional service and quality of work. We work together closely to generate an accurate, detailed cost estimate for the entire garden.

I am on site to oversee the installation of all my designs. My hands-on approach ensures the highest quality results, and ultimately a very satisfied client.
